This buckle is a reproduction of the baldric belt buckle worn by the character Jack Sparrow in the Pirates of Caribbean movie franchise.

Johnny Depp wore this style of baldric In the movies Dead Man's Chest, At World's End, On Stranger Tides and Dead Men Tell No Tales. A baldric belt is traditionally worn over the shoulder across the chest over a frock or waist coat to carry a sword. Baldric belts were worn by both the military and civilians throughout the 17th century.

This buckle is suitable for large belt straps between 50 – 54mm in width and looks great on a renaissance sword baldric or wide pirate style sword, pistol belt or pipers belt.
